Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how GazeWarp (“GazeWarp,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you use our website, Chrome extension, related software, and AI features (the “Service”). GazeWarp operates in the United States.
For privacy requests, email gazewarp@gmail.com. We do not publish a mailing address.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, GazeWarp is the controller of your personal data. If you are in Canada, we are the organization responsible for the information described here.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run accounts, payments, and the product. We do not run a separate analytics or advertising product (no Google Analytics, ad pixels, or similar).
Account (Google sign-in)
You sign in with Google only. Google sends us your email address and, if your Google account provides them, your name and profile photo. We store that account information in Supabase.
Subscription and billing
Stripe processes all payments. We store your plan, subscription status, renewal or end date, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, and related billing status. We do not store full card numbers. Stripe may collect payment-method details under its own policy.
Device and abuse prevention
To enforce a one-device-per-account limit, we may store a device identifier or fingerprint, device metadata, and whether that device is active.
AI requests
When you use Solve or similar features, question text and related context are sent through our proxy to our model provider (OpenRouter) using credentials we provide. We may also store credit balances and usage needed to meter that access. We do not give you a personal OpenRouter key.
Technical data from hosting and sign-in
The site is hosted on Vercel. Google handles OAuth. Those providers may process standard technical data such as IP address, browser or device type, and request logs as part of running their services. We do not use that as a marketing analytics stack.
Cookies
We use cookies that are required to operate the Service: Google / Supabase sign-in cookies. We do not use advertising cookies.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Create and maintain your account.
- Process subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, and invoices through Stripe.
- Provide AI features and enforce monthly credit limits.
- Limit each account to one device and investigate abuse.
- Provide support (email or Discord) when you contact us.
- Secure the Service and comply with law.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context advertising.
4. Legal bases (EEA and UK)
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Contract: creating your account, providing the plan you bought, and delivering AI features.
- Legitimate interests: securing the Service, preventing shared or multi-device abuse, and keeping the product working.
- Legal obligation: keeping billing records we are required to keep.
- Consent: only if we ever use an optional cookie or processing that requires it. Required sign-in and security cookies do not rely on marketing consent.
5. Who we share information with
We share information with processors who help us run the Service, only as needed for their role:
- Google — sign-in.
- Supabase — account, profile, device, and subscription records.
- Stripe — payments and subscription billing.
- Vercel — website hosting.
- Cloudflare — the proxy that sends AI requests.
- OpenRouter — model inference on the prompts you submit.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect GazeWarp or others, or as part of a business transfer.
6. International transfers
We are based in the United States. If you are in the EU, UK, or Canada, your information is processed in the United States and may be processed in other countries where our providers operate. Those countries may not provide the same legal protections as your home country. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer tools used by our providers (for example, Standard Contractual Clauses).
7. How long we keep information
We keep your account and profile while your account is open and as needed to provide the Service.
After you cancel a plan or delete your account, we keep billing records for up to 90 days. After that period we delete or de-identify those records unless we must keep them longer to resolve a dispute, prevent abuse, or comply with law.
You can delete your account from the account dashboard. That immediately cancels any active Stripe subscription (no further charges, no refund of time already paid), deletes your GazeWarp user and profile, and ends access. Signing in later with the same email creates a new free account; unused paid time does not come back.
Device records are kept as long as needed to enforce the one-device rule and investigate abuse. AI prompts are processed to generate answers and are not kept by us as a permanent quiz archive.
You may also request deletion by emailing gazewarp@gmail.com.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your information, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
EEA / UK: You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).
Canada: You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you, subject to PIPEDA exceptions.
United States: If a US state privacy law applies to you (for example California), you may request access, deletion, and correction, and you may appeal a denial by emailing us again and writing “Appeal” in the subject. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email gazewarp@gmail.com from the address on your account. We may need to verify that you control that account.
9. Children
GazeWarp is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use industry-standard hosting, encrypted connections, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for the security of the Google account you use to sign in.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
12. Contact
